Dear Steve, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. Ms. Irene was a wonderful lady that had a positive influence on all who had the good fortune to have known her. I count myself as one of the very lucky ones. Tybee Island and the Methodist church has lost another one of its finest Matriarchs and I know Irene and Rosie now are catching up on old times and likely deciding just how to rearrange things in paradise. Our thoughts, prayers and love are with you and your family. David and Christine Thompson

Steve and Kathryn, I send my sincere condolences and prayers to you and your family during this sad time. Irene will be remembered as an icon at Trinity Chapel, where she loved to practice her faith - giving cheerfully and freely of her time and talents. She was an advocate for the Tybee Lighthouse and Historical Society, supporter of Tybee Beautification, and a faithful volunteer at Oceanside Nursing Home. Most of all, she valued and treasured her family, her neighbors and her friends. A Tybee treasure, she will be greatly missed. Sincerely, Shirley
